For Volunteering Opportunities
Follow our four stage process to start your volunteering journey.
When you sign up to be a volunteer you’ll be asked to create a profile. You will then be assigned a friendly volunteering co-ordinator who will contact you to work out what you’re interested in and what skills you’d like to develop during your placement.
You get to decide how much support you would like from us and if you want to have your volunteering accredited. We can help you with training and employability workshops during your placement or you can complete it independently, the choice is yours.
Planning is always important and with volunteering it’s no different. Your plan will let you set out what goals you want to achieve and what you want to experience and learn during your placement. If you want to work towards an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) award, your volunteer plan can be used as evidence in your achievement portfolio.
We have hundreds of different placements for you to choose from. Once you have chosen your placement your volunteering co-ordinator will ask you to call into the office and complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) form.
Well done! You are now volunteering. You can gain recognition for your voluntary placement by working towards an Institute of Management and Leadership (ILM) award. To successfully complete an ILM award you need to complete a six step volunteer review.
